When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

I loved this book! This is definitely a YA HEA rom-com & if you don't like those this book isn't for you. I absolutely love Bollywood movies and that is how this book read to me. At first I was annoyed with Dimple's immaturity but that went away quickly as Dimple really emerged as a vibrant independent young woman who is so passionate about her work and life. Rishi is very traditional, richly invested in Indian culture, and such a gentleman! He was actually my favorite character and seeing how he brought the best out in people it was hard for him not to be my fav. 


Dimple is an awkward nerdy coder who loves to read and a total introvert. She thinks she is smart when she convinces her parents to let her go to a tech summer program but they know something she doesn't. They have arranged a match for her and his family has sent him to the same tech convention with hopes of them meeting and getting to know each other. Rishi thinks Dimple knows all about the arrangement and finds out the hard way she doesn't even know he exists. When she realizes his reason for being there she is devastated and things snowball from there!

Robin by Dave Itzkoff My rating: 5 of 5 stars This book will be released on May 15, 2018. When I got approved for an advanced copy I was ecstatic. I was also nervous that maybe the author won't do the man justice but that thankfully was not the case. This book is so thoroughly researched with a lot of cooperation from his family and friends. Review: Body Swap

Body Swap by Sylvia McNicoll My rating: 4 of 5 stars This book was a real treat. It's a comedic contemporary with a heartfelt emotional relationship between an elderly woman and a teenager. It has some great lessons in humility, respecting the elderly, the positives and negatives of technology and even crossing racial divides. I highly recommend this novel for a good emotional read! Hallie is completely nervous. The guy she has been crushing on is at the mall. She and her friend Addy just arrived and she's discover a huge zit on her forehead. All she can think about is finding out what Khael said about her while texting her friend when she gets hit by a car in the parking deck and dies. She finds herself at a wonderful carnival and Eli leads her to the rollercoaster. She knows once she rides this there is no coming back and she's never even been kissed! Review: Charlotte Holmes and the Locked Box

Charlotte Holmes and the Locked Box by Sherry Thomas My rating: 4 of 5 stars An enjoyable short story written about Charlotte Holmes, Sherlock's sister. She has begun solving cases for clients due to his poor health. She has the keen and stunning acumen that her brother does and this story is delightful and refreshing! This is a great quick read with a curious riddle. Great when you are in a reading slump or just need a break from a long book you're reading.
