This was a creative and exciting read! It's a book about books with a magical island focused on books! I loved the characters and the idea of book jumpers and their ability to get to know the characters from stories we've grown up on. This book did leave me with some questions and I don't know how to feel about the ending yet, I'm still processing.

Amy's mother had her young and left her home to move to Germany to start over. Now Amy is older and wants to go on a getaway trip herself but she has no idea just how far she will get to travel. They go to stay with her grandmother in Scotland where she insists Amy read more. Amy is delighted since she is a bookworm until she finds out her grandmother doesn't mean conventional reading.

Amy is a book jumper. She has the ability to hold a book to her face and enter the world of that book. She has to moderate every story she enters to make sure the focus starts the plot but it isn't easy as she gets to know the characters. Will, another book jumper, joins her but will he be helpful or distract her from her responsibilities?

Robin by Dave Itzkoff My rating: 5 of 5 stars This book will be released on May 15, 2018. When I got approved for an advanced copy I was ecstatic. I was also nervous that maybe the author won't do the man justice but that thankfully was not the case. This book is so thoroughly researched with a lot of cooperation from his family and friends. Review: Body Swap

Body Swap by Sylvia McNicoll My rating: 4 of 5 stars This book was a real treat. It's a comedic contemporary with a heartfelt emotional relationship between an elderly woman and a teenager. It has some great lessons in humility, respecting the elderly, the positives and negatives of technology and even crossing racial divides. I highly recommend this novel for a good emotional read! Hallie is completely nervous. The guy she has been crushing on is at the mall. She and her friend Addy just arrived and she's discover a huge zit on her forehead. All she can think about is finding out what Khael said about her while texting her friend when she gets hit by a car in the parking deck and dies. Review: Charlotte Holmes and the Locked Box

Charlotte Holmes and the Locked Box by Sherry Thomas My rating: 4 of 5 stars An enjoyable short story written about Charlotte Holmes, Sherlock's sister. She has begun solving cases for clients due to his poor health. She has the keen and stunning acumen that her brother does and this story is delightful and refreshing! This is a great quick read with a curious riddle. Great when you are in a reading slump or just need a break from a long book you're reading.
